Noise barrier power plant – Sustainable energy source
Our PHONOBLOC® wood-concrete noise barriers bear the natureplus® seal of approval and can be fitted and extended with photovoltaic panels from 2023. This generates solar power that offsets energy consumption in just two years. With 90% capacity utilization, we expect 1,173 kWh/kWp annually and CO2 savings of 325.4 kg/kWp.
Kirchdorfer is thus opening a new chapter in the greening of Austria’s transport infrastructure.
XC® COMPOSITE ELEMENTS FOR MOOSBRUNN PRIMARY SCHOOL
For the modernization, renovation and extension of the elementary school in 2022, a future-oriented construction method with wood-concrete composite elements was chosen.
The focus was on using the most sensible building material in the right place.
CLIMATE-FRIENDLY TRANSPORT DIRECTLY FROM THE FACTORY – KATZENBERGER RELIES ON RAIL
Our Tyrolean subsidiary Katzenberger relies on sustainable rail logistics to export tubbing to Switzerland, saving 4,100 truck journeys in the process.
MARTINI BETON & LINZ AG WITH A JOINT SOLAR POWER PLANT
“A symbol of sustainability, security of supply and energy independence,” were the words used by DI Erich Haider, MBA – Managing Director of Linz AG – to describe the 182 kWp photovoltaic system that was installed on the façade of the 33-metre-high tower of Martini Beton Gmbh in St. Martin im Mühlkreis (Upper Austria) in 2022.
COMMISSIONING OF THE “BURNOUT LINE” AT THE KIRCHDORF CEMENT PLANT
In 2022, the new “burnout line” of our parent company was put into operation. With an investment of € 9.5 million, the Kirchdorf cement plant is once again defending its claim to be one of the lowest-emission cement plants in the world. CO emissions were reduced by a further 17% and the use of coarser alternative fuels was made possible.
